Sheridan Maine is currently seeking a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join our esteemed client, a successful property developer based in London.
 
As Management Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team, playing a key role in managing and reporting on the commercial operations, improving systems and processes to ensure efficient finance support for the team and supporting other aspects of the wider centralised finance function.
 
Your responsibilities as the Management Accountant will include and will not be limited to:

  • Produce quarterly management accounts and assist with the annual business plan
  • Production of monthly management accounts and reporting including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
  • Conduct commercial analysis of income and expenditure
  • Review of bank movements and credit control monitoring
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Contribute to process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance financial controls and efficiency
  • Maintain good relationships and liaise with customers, auditors, and key stakeholders
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering relevant data and providing financial analysis
  • Conduct variance analysis and providing insightful commentary on financial performance
  • Actively build strong relationships with non-finance team members to provide regular, meaningful analysis of spend to date against budgets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
  • Support the central Finance function with the fortnightly pay run
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control of centralised overheads
 
What you will need to be great for this role:
  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent qualification
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Solid management account experience, preferably in hospitality or property service industry
  • Prepared to get involved in every aspect of finance as required

This is a hybrid working position, with 3 days per week office based, the rest worked from home.
