Sheridan Maine is collaborating with a successful South Coast based organisation that is seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager.  As a Finance Manager, you will oversee both the monthly management accounts and the transactional processes of the business.

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager include but not limited to:

  • Manage, lead and develop the Transactional Processing team
  • Be the first point of contact for purchase ledger escalations and high-level authorisations
  • Manage and run the closing of the month end process to ensure accurate and timely submissions
  • Establish and maintain robust controls around management accounts
  • Presentation of monthly management accounts to senior management with clear variance analysis and narrative
  • Oversee and actively participate in balance sheet reconciliations
  • Composition and submission of monthly cash flow
  • Oversee Payroll and ensure efficient accurate and timely delivery of payroll function
  • Hold and attend regular meetings
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation
  • Support with ad-hoc projects
  • Support change and process improvements
 
In order to be a successful Finance Manager, you will need the following:
  • Qualified/Newly Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Experience of month end processes and production of management accounts
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
