Sheridan Maine is collaborating with a well-known retail business that has sites across the country.  The business is recruiting for a Finance Manager who will join its team based in Essex on a 3-month fixed term contract. 
The purpose of the role is to support the transformation of the management accounting and the ideal candidate will be a qualified Management Accountant with at least 3 years’ experience.
The company operate a flexible hybrid working policy with 2-3 days based at its Purfleet head office and the rest of the week worked from home.
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include:

  • Supporting the production of the monthly performance packs with analysis of income and costs
  • Reviewing performance
  • Undertaking variance analysis with budget holders
  • Producing monthly P&L and KPI reports
  • Providing analytical support to the business to aid decision making
  • Producing and reviewing budgets and forecasts
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships at all levels in the organisation
The successful Finance Manager will require the following skills and experience:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • Good inter-personal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Self-motivated individual with a proactive mindset
  • D365 and Hyperion system skills are required
