Duties and responsibilities:
Working as part of the senior leadership team helping shape and deliver on the strategic objectives of the business
Leadership of the finance function, including ensuring accurate reporting of financial transactions and timely handling of client transactions
Ensuring tax & regulatory compliance in all markets, and to act as Senior Accounting Officer for the business.
Controlling currency hedging operations, and maximise working capital allocation
Managing product range and pricing in each market, to optimise return on capital in the long term
Enhance and maintain risk management procedures and effective financial controls
Managing the month-end and year-end accounts procedures and audit process
You will be responsible for driving a commercial awareness through the whole business, including developing management and KPI reporting
Implementing frameworks for better commercial decisions by all team members engaged in day-to-day transactions
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, delivering a culture of trust and transparency
Experience:
Managerial experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior finance role
Must be a qualified accountant, either ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
A commercial focus, and experience in retailing, trading or financial services would be beneficial
Strong Excel skills essential
