Sheridan Maine are working in partnership with an innovative and forward thinking international client, who are seeking a Head of Financial Reporting to join their growing finance team.

This fantastic new opportunity will report directly into the Chief Financial Officer and will lead a small team. The successful candidate will be either ACA or ACCA Qualified, coming from a strong technical accounting background. 

As Head of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for the internal and external reporting for the group, acting as finance business partner to key decision makers across the business with a key focus and accountability in ensuring compliance and accurate reporting of the Company’s financial results.

This role will involve the following core areas:

  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts for all companies under IFRS 
  • Management and preparation of the quarterly group reporting pack
  • Support the forecasting, budgeting and strategic plan process
  • Managing the month end timetable, ensuring essential deadlines are met
  • Manage the monthly account reconciliation review and sign off process
  • Completion of management accounts pack
  • Management of relationship with outsourced tax
  • Preparation of tax compliance information, including R&D Tax Claims, Transfer Pricing Activities between Group Companies 
  • Establish and maintain robust controls across all financial reporting activities
  • Continuous review of procedures, processes and system tools
  • Be the primary lead throughout the external audit process
  • Support internal control and internal audit process
 Qualifications/ Experience required:
  • Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant 
  • Big 4 experience would be an advantage 
  • Sound technical accounting knowledge 
  • Commercial and analytical mind-set
  • People development and leadership experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience gained from roles such as:  Audit Manager / Audit Senior / Senior Manager / Senior Audit Manager / Financial Accounting Manager / Financial Reporting Manager / Senior Financial Reporting Manager would be advantageous
