An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller to join an established family run Bristol based business.  This is a temporary position with likelihood of extension or becoming permanent.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant will include:

  • Credit control duties within the Sales Ledger
  • Raising sales invoices to send to customers
  • Requesting customer payments
  • Resolution of outstanding customer account balances
  • Reconciling the company bank statements
  • Some data entry
  • Entering supplier bills matched to purchase orders
  • Processing the bi-monthly supplier payment runs
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • CIS administration and submission to HMRC
  • Processing the month end procedures, checks and reporting records
  • Assisting the reporting of the management accounts (aged debtors, cash flow)
  • Ad hoc Admin/Finance duties as required
The successful Accounts Assistant will require the following skills and experience:
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Experience with Sage 200 accounting would be beneficial
