An award-winning Bristol based business is seeking a Finance Assistant for its small and energetic team. This position would ideally suit an experienced Accounts Assistant or Credit Controller preferably from a commercial environment.
The company operate a hybrid working policy after the first month, with 3 days based at the office and 2 days worked from home every week.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include:
Management of all sales ledger procedures in line with debtor processes
Raising and issuing invoices from the finance system
Performing credit checks and reviewing credit limits
Liaising with clients to ensure timely payment of sales invoices
Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices
Allocating payments in the finance system
Raising credit notes when required
Production of aged debtor reports
Provide support to the Finance team where required (e.g., purchase ledger, management reporting)
The successful Finance Assistant will require the following skills and experience:
Excellent customer liaison skills
Proven ability to deliver to deadlines
Strong finance administrative skills with a focus on detail
Part qualified (AAT) or willing to work toward a professional qualification would be advantageous
