A fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a Birmingham based organisation. Our client has strong growth plans for the coming years, and this is an exciting time to join and become part of a positive and growing team.
This position will suit someone with a solid understanding of key accountancy principles and who is process driven.
Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
Responsibility for all financial accounting
Provision of P&L and financial statements
Produce management accounts including cashflows, variance analysis and commentaries
Monitoring and managing daily financial operations, cash flow, and inter-company transactions
Processing accruals, prepayments and monthly and year end journals
Reporting on debtors and creditors and delivering and supporting credit control processes
Liaising with customers and suppliers and dealing with invoice queries/disputes
Reviewing and submitting VAT and annual returns
Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
Completing Balance sheet, Control Accounts, Bank and Company Credit Cards reconciliations on monthly basis
The successful Financial Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
Experience of working in a fast-paced finance department
Great attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem-solving skills
Solid interpersonal skills, with the ability to gain commitment from others by persuading, convincing and negotiating
