Immediate opportunity to join a market leading technology/engineering orientated business as Financial Accountant, based in the Wokingham area. This is a newly created position to support the organisation through an exciting period of growth and change, with a view to potentially becoming permanent in the future. Reporting to the Financial Controller this is an internationally focused role supporting business mainly across the UK and US.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, internal controls and balance sheet reviews
Working closely with the supply chain team to manage and develop inventory and stock reporting
Supporting tax submissions for the UK and US, mainly around sales and property
Support the FC to develop and implement improved processes and systems
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA CIMA) with good financial accounting and balance sheet experience. Ideally you will possess experience of inventory/stock accounting. Experience gained within the engineering, technology or manufacturing sectors would be preferred, if not essential, along with the ability to communicate at all levels. You will be a self-starter as the role will manage the audit process in it's entirety so will manage the relationship with external auditors.
This role will initially be offered on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 6 months although there is scope for it to be extended or to become permanent. Hybrid working is available with a minimum of 3 days week in the office.
