Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join its small Finance team based in Dorchester. This is an exciting time to join this growing company and play a crucial role in its future success.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:
Provision of financial transactions to support the monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and monthly journals
Review and analyse financial statements and reports
Process payments to suppliers
Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, making sure they are up to date and error free
Reconciliation of various inter-company nominal accounts
Bank account reconciliation for various currencies
Weekly reporting
Assist in creation of company budgets
Assist in preparation of Group VAT return
Assist in controlling cash balances in line with payroll requirements across the Group
Deal with customer queries
The successful Finance Assistant will require the following attributes:
Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
Good oral and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Previous experience in a finance / accounting role
Studying towards ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent an advantage
You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
