Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering an established Insurance organisation to recruit a Group Accountant.  This position requires a qualified Accountant with Investment/Fund Management experience.  The successful candidate will provide support to the Group Controller in preparing management and external reporting for the Group along with a range of other interesting duties.
 
The company operate a predominantly remote working model, travelling into the London Office once every 6 weeks
 
Responsibilities of the Group Accountant include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting in meeting internal and external reporting requirements
• Preparing journals
• Submitting general ledger postings
• Completing bank and intercompany reconciliations
• Preparing account reconciliations
• Preparing statutory accounts
• Preparing valuations
• Assisting with the design and implementation of new accounting processes as required
• Liaison with fund managers and administrators to structure and set up funds
• Supporting fund operations including net asset valuation reporting and drawing fees
• Setting up of bank accounts as required, monitoring transactions, and completion of bank reconciliations
• Assisting with ad-hoc tasks

• ACA Qualified (Top 10 Accountancy practice)
• Investment/Fund Management experience
• Strong Excel skills
