Our Coventry based client is a successful organisation with a turnover of more than £1bn and expanding all the time.  The business consistently appears in the Times Top 100 Companies to work for and clearly are an ‘Employer of Choice’ in the area.  An opportunity has arisen to join this outstanding business as In House Tax Assistant.
 
Reporting to the Head of Tax, this is a great opportunity to move in house and join a dynamic and growing group.  Business partnering the Head of Tax, Group FD and wider Board level contacts, this truly is a varied tax role.  It will involve liaising with advisors for tax provisions; assisting with advisory tax work in respect of new acquisitions/reorganisations and ensuring tax remains a high-profile topic across the wider management team.
 
Responsibilities of the Tax Assistant will include:

• Assist with preparation and submissions of CT comps/returns
• Assist with the production and submissions of VAT comps/returns
• Help the Tax Manager with preparation and submissions of P11d’s (where appropriate) and PSA’s
• Oversee reconciliation of PAYE and payment thereof
• Assist at a junior level with tax support for M&A related activities and project work as required

• This position would ideally suit someone who is studying or seeking to study ATT/CTA or ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Good communication skills – comfortable liaising with external and internal and senior stakeholders
