A leading organisation with a trusted market reputation for delivery and exciting business transformation plans, including launching new products and diversifying via acquisitions, is seeking to recruit the key position of Group Tax Manager. This is the most senior Tax role within the business and will have great visibility to the CFO and wider Board. The company operates a flexible work approach with a minimum expectation of being onsite 2 days per month, although the role may require the incumbent to be present at their Hampshire based offices a little more regularly for meetings.

The Group Tax Manager will take responsibility for overall control of all tax reporting across the group including Corporation Tax, VAT, Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and Payroll taxes. This will include ensuring the business has the correct tax positions for new products and acquisitions with a view to always optimising the tax position of the Group through analysis of high-quality data. The successful Tax Manager will also lead the relationships with the HMRC and other relevant external parties as well as providing assurance for the CFO with regards to Tax Risk and Compliance. There is the opportunity to manage and develop a team of 2 Tax Accountants.

The successful applicant will ideally be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive experience gained across direct and indirect taxes - an additional tax qualification such as CTA (or ATT) would be highly preferable. The client is extremely keen on the individual possessing experience of dealing with regulatory bodies, and their specific reporting requirements, ideally within a financial services related sector. Knowledge of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and/or a proven record of managing and developing staff are beneficial, but not essential.

You will be a confident communicator, capable of building relationships at all levels of an organisation and with the ability to provide insightful analysis and interpretations to define and solve problems. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as it embarks on a planned period of growth through new product offerings and the acquisition of a number of core and non-core but complimentary businesses.
