The Management Accountant is a key position and will work closely with the Finance Manager, providing relevant information to senior management and the Board to aid strategic decision making.
Key duties of the Management Accountant will include:
- Preparing management accounts for subsidiary businesses and involvement in the accounting of future acquisitions
- Involvement in producing consolidated management accounts for group
- Analysis of financial and management information to investigate variances but also to identify key metrics to highlight business trends for the Board
- Support with the P&L and Balance Sheet
The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), although a later stage studier would also be considered, who possesses a strong business and process improvement mindset and is eager to find solutions to problems. The role would ideally suit someone with strong IT skills, including Excel; experience of financial modelling tools would be an additional plus. The ability to work at a pace, whilst maintaining accuracy would also be advantageous in this fast-moving business.
This is an interactive role, working as part of a team and communicating with senior stakeholders, so the role will be based mainly onsite at the companies excellent and modern offices.
