Accounts Payable Assistant - Hybrid

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk?  Have you managed the full cycle accounts payable process including payment runs? Do you have strong communication skills and the ability to tackle difficult queries? If so, I would love to hear from you.  My client is an established business that is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant. 
 
The company operate a hybrid working policy with 2 days a week based at their office in Stroud.
 
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Assistant will include:

  • Processing a high volume of supplier invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Processing the weekly BAC’s payment runs
  • Month end processing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of direct debit and credit card payments
  • Process improvement
  • Supporting the wider finance team when required
 
Key competencies required of the Accounts Payable Assistant include:
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable position
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
