This role offers a hybrid working pattern -  1 day in the office per week, with a view to working 2-3 days in the new year.
 

  • Day to day management of the Payroll Assistants
  • Dealing with payroll queries
  • Preparing weekly and monthly payrolls with the team
  • Setting up new employees
  • Maintaining accurate staff records
  • Administering expenses and seeking authorisation for payment
  • Calculating tax, national insurance and pensions
  • Payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations
 
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:


  • Experience running payrolls for a medium sized company
  • The ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Analytical and detail orientated with a high level of integrity
  • Self-motivated, organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Proficient with systems and Microsoft Office Suite, experience using Sage would be an advantage
