Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established organisation based in central London. They are currently looking for a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent). This position would suit a finance professional who has experience of leading a team, and who possesses a good understanding of internal controls requirements.
The company operate a hybrid working policy, with 1 day in the office, the rest worked from home.
Responsibilities of the Lead Accountant include:
Manage, guide and support a team of accountants
Monitor controls within the finance and reporting function
Prepare management accounts and present to directors and stakeholders
Provide crucial insight that will result in achieving company financial objectives
Assess monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Assess commentary for monthly performance
Work with key stakeholders to monitor business performance
Continuously review existing processes and controls
Other ad-hoc tasks and projects
To be considered for the role of Lead Accountant, you will require the following attributes:
Good knowledge of UK & US GAAP and IFRS
Understanding of direct and indirect taxation
Good technical knowledge in finance systems
Strong team management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
