Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a global business based in Southampton to recruit a Finance Assistant.  The successful candidate will be AAT level 2 or 3 qualified at minimum and our client is seeking someone with ambition and an eagerness to grow and develop with the business.
 
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include:

  • Registering and approving purchase invoices on the system
  • Raising disbursement for Group Companies
  • Raising journals
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Payment allocations
  • Reconciliations
  • Assisting other departments and the wider business when required
 
Key competencies required of the Finance Assistant include:
  • Good understanding of accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
