Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a Bristol based firm to recruit an Assistant Accountant into its team.  The position comprises of efficient processing, accuracy and review of financial transactions and financial information in the portfolio of client companies.
 
This role would suit someone working towards their accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with management and statutory accounts experience. Hybrid working and study support is offered by the business.
 
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include:

• Review of six-month management information
• Review of the year-end statutory accounts and tax computations
• Supporting the Finance Manager with the preparation and review of VAT returns
• Dealing with queries from external auditors
• Approve supplier payments
• Assisting with general accounting and regulatory queries
• Working closely with Asset Managers
• Assist the Finance Manager with Finance Due Diligence projects on potential acquisitions
• Support the on-boarding process of new acquisitions
• Provide necessary support and assistance to the bookkeepers as required
