Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include:

• Payroll review and posting of the monthly payroll journals
• Provision of variance analysis
• Provision of pension checks
• Calculation and posting of accruals
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of statutory financial statements
• Assistance with year-end audit
• Preparation and posting of prepayments
• Maintaining the Group’s Fixed Asset Registers
• Posting bank payments
• Preparing daily/weekly cash reporting to Group
• Preparing intercompany submissions and reconciliation
• Producing VAT returns and checking before submission to HMRC
• Preparation of cashflow forecasts
• Undertaking ad-hoc projects when required

• Studying towards AAT or CIMA
• Analytical with attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
