A rare opportunity has arisen within an Andover based manufacturing business who are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join their established friendly team. The opportunity would suit a driven purchasing professional who is looking for a role to make their own!
Working closely with the Production Manager, the position will be responsible for a diverse range of duties. These include but are not limited to;
- Manage and control the purchasing activities,
- Utilising and maintaining the ERP/ MRP systems,
- Stock level management,
- Demand forecasting,
- Maintaining supplier relationships
The ideal candidate will have proven purchasing/ buyer experience from a manufacturing background and be CIPS qualified. Prior experience of MRP/ ERP systems is also preferred. It is essential to have excellent negotiation skills and be a good communicator who is able to manage and build strong internal and external relationships. You must also have a high level of commercial acumen and self motivation.
