Sheridan Maine are working in partnership with a market leading Newbury based organisation who are seeking a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic finance team.
 
This excellent opportunity will provide an individual with full study support and the chance to gain a broad range of accounting experience and skills.
 
Experience and responsibilities the successful candidate will learn are as follows:

• Bank reconciliations
• Month end support including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, prepayment & accruals
• Intercompany accounting
• Assisting with the budgeting process
• Produce monthly key reports for the business
• Variance analysis
• Profit and loss reporting
• Fixed assets
• Cashflow forecasting
• Assisting with the audit
• Interaction with a wide range of stakeholders
• Develop analysis and IT skills

• Prior experience of working within an office environment (preferably finance but not essential)
• Competent Excel knowledge
• A keen interest to become a qualified Accountant and study ACCA or CIMA
• Bright and personable individual
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
• Able to use initiative but also work well within a team
