Sheridan Maine are working in partnership with a market leading Newbury based organisation who are seeking a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic finance team.
This excellent opportunity will provide an individual with full study support and the chance to gain a broad range of accounting experience and skills.
Experience and responsibilities the successful candidate will learn are as follows:
Bank reconciliations
Month end support including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, prepayment & accruals
Intercompany accounting
Assisting with the budgeting process
Produce monthly key reports for the business
Variance analysis
Profit and loss reporting
Fixed assets
Cashflow forecasting
Assisting with the audit
Interaction with a wide range of stakeholders
Develop analysis and IT skills
To be considered for this rare position, you will have the following skills and attributes:
Prior experience of working within an office environment (preferably finance but not essential)
Competent Excel knowledge
A keen interest to become a qualified Accountant and study ACCA or CIMA
Bright and personable individual
Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
Able to use initiative but also work well within a team
