Sheridan Maine is recruiting for our Poole based client who require an Interim International Tax and Audit Accountant to join them on an initial 3 month term.  The successful candidate will report into the Commercial Director and Managing Director, and be working a minimum of 3 days per week.  Remote working is offered.

Key responsibilities of the Interim Tax and Audit Accountant will include:

  • Provide technical support to the finance functions across the group on key aspects affecting the production of management and statutory information
  • Oversight of USA Tax position
  • USA tax registration, likely with experience using AVASK or a similar indirect tax consultancy and accounting firm 
  • Scoping and implementation of AVALARA on Netsuite, ensuring that all of the UK, EU and USA tax accounting is accurate
  • Responsible for a high profile Client Audit preparation that is coming up. Which will involve, assessing the past 4 years' transactions, ensuring correct licensing amounts have been paid, filing and managing errors and as well as offering them support to conduct their own audit
Key Skills/Experience of the Interim Accountant include:  
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • The individual would not have to take responsibility for the day to day running of the finance team, as the Accountancy firm would be responsible for the checks and controls on the management accounts. The individual will need to have a good knowledge and understanding on taxation and be excellent with large amounts of data
  • Resilient and with a can do positive and driven attitude
  • Good influencer within a team environment
