Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an international financial services firm to recruit an Accounting Controlling & Business Support Manager.  Based at the firm’s central London headquarters, this is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that offers an optimistic future with prospects of career progression. 
 
This hybrid working, key position will manage 3 functions within the Accounting Department, and the successful qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) will be highly motivated and possess excellent leadership skills.
 
Responsibilities of the Accounting Controlling & Business Support Manager include:

• Manage, lead and develop a number of staff within 3 teams
• Review and approve monthly reporting of over 30 entities
• Review and assess impacts on changes of Group reporting, provide guidance to group companies on changes of reporting requirements
• Communicate and customise reporting instructions and change requests from Head Office
• Ensure compliance of Head Office reporting requirements
• Liaise with other departments to ensure consolidation adjustments are correctly reflected in finance system
• Consistently work with other departments to review and improve the processes and controls
• Liaise with external auditors to plan and co-ordinate group and statutory audits
• Review impact and application of new IFRS accounting standards and Group Accounting policies

• Demonstrable knowledge of accounting treatments (UK GAAP and IFRS)
• Experience in FX exposure monitoring and control
• Proven track record of driving process improvement
