Job Details
A technically strong Group Accountant is required for a 3 to 6 month fixed term contract role at a large international group based in Chichester. The company have hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home and also offer flexible start / finish times.
Working with the Group Financial Controller the key deliverables of the Group Accountant include:-
Production of the monthly consolidated management accounts for a number of European and UK entities
Managing the reporting timetable for actuals, budgets and forecasts
Preparation of annual statutory accounts for UK entities
Owning the group audit process and being the primary point of contact for external auditors
Technical review of new accounting standards and assessing their impact on Group accounting policies and reporting
Team management and development
The key requirements for the Group Accountant are:-
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with demonstrable experience in a similar group / financial accounting role
Excellent technical accounting / IFRS knowledge
Strong communication skills
The role is being offered on a 3 to 6 month fixed term contract basis and as such candidates need to be available at short notice and commit to the contract period as well as being able to commute 3 days a week to the Chichester offices.
