Sheridan Maine is proud to be working with a global leader in its field; a company that prides itself on its entrepreneurial spirit. They are currently looking for an EMEA Controller who will join their busy finance team based in central London.  The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all accounting and compliance requirement of over 100 legal entities of the Group within the EMEA region. 
 
Responsibilities of the EMEA Controller will include but are not limited to:

• Lead the EMEA Finance Team and ensure it is fit for purpose, including continuous professional development of the team and the Finance function more broadly
• Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of the management and statutory accounts
• Prepare, analyse and interpret financial information for reporting to senior management and Finance Director
• Provision of informative interpretation and analysis of activities and comparatives to budgets / forecasts
• Manage the annual external audit process
• Support, co-ordinate and manage the quarterly and annual planning cycle of the different counties in the Region
• Ensure integrity of actual results against local statutory regulations, ensuring the development of and compliance with the company and local GAAP
• Continuously seek to improve and drive recommendations for, and implementation of, changes in financial processes / controls / policy / direction to support the overall business strategy
• Manage third party service providers within the Region and ensure that they perform to the timelines and quality standards imposed on insourced finance functions
• Support the Finance Director strategic projects, including ad hoc analysis on all matters finance
• Business Partner for various business activities
• Key point of contact and responsible for finance related matters in relation to the Development - EMEA business segment, from project identification to achieving financial close

• Qualified ACCA, ACMA, ACA or equivalent with (10+ years) post qualified experience
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Experience managing delocalized Finance teams
• Ability to help drive the communication and integration of Finance with the business through effective stakeholder management
