Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a leading manufacturing organisation based near Weymouth, Dorset. We are seeking to recruit into a newly created role of Operational Finance Business Partner. 

As Finance Business Partner you will provide end to end financial control for the manufacturing site reporting into the Head of FP&A.  
This role will manage the financial performance of the company’s internal supply operations, providing management and business insights, financial activity reviews, change management and business partnering with local managers to challenge business performance and ensure targets are met. 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed analysis of monthly management accounts for the various cost centres, ensuring all costs and recoveries are reflected, with commentary on any variance to Budgets
  • Manage weekly performance reviews with the Managers focusing on production hours, labour utilisation and delivery
  • Manage the annual Budget and quarterly Forecast submissions for each cost centre
  • Prepare and deliver monthly presentations on financial and operational site performance to the Senior Management Teams
  • Support on strategy discussions and provide relevant insight into how these decisions will impact business performance
  • Develop a sound understanding and knowledge of the key performance indicators and make suggestions on other metrics that will help to drive the performance of the site
  • Provide full cost analysis for manufactured products, including appropriate recovery rates, required cost roll-ups and any resulting variances
Skills and Qualifications required to be successful:
  • You will hold a full professional accountancy qualification CIMA/ACCA/ ACA (with a number of years PQE)
  • A degree in a Finance or a Business related subject or equivalent would be preferred
  • Able to show experience of Financial Business Partnering or Financial Controls in the Manufacturing sector
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a real drive to succeed, able to persuade, influence and deliver change in a proactive and collaborative manner
