Sheridan Maine are partnering with an established, but rapidly growing business, based in West Sussex to recruit a Finance Manager into a small Head Office accounts team.
Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager this is a key role taking responsibility for all aspects of management accounting for a number of entities. Key accounting tasks will include:
- The preparation of all monthly reports and key performance data including all balance sheet reconciliations and liaising with project teams.
- Additional tasks will include preparing financial company and group accounts (UK GAAP / FRS 102) and monitoring inter-company accounts
- Involvement in periodic corporation tax and VAT returns including maintaining monthly group tax schedules
- Involvement in ad hoc projects including improving and developing existing processes and systems
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant management accounting, and ideally financial reporting experience. This could have been developed within industry or from producing client accounts within an accountancy practice.
Strong Excel skills are essential for this role including pivot tables and come more complex formulas as is the ability to communicate with internal managers and external clients. Financial Accounting experience, including FRS 102 reporting, is highly desirable although not essential.
