We’re partnering with a manufacturing business based in Bristol to recruit a Payroll Accounts Assistant.  If you are an experienced Payroller and AAT qualified or part qualified, we’d love to hear from you.
 
Responsibilities of the Payroll Accounts Assistant include:

• Gather information from sites to process the payroll
• Complete payroll on time and accurately
• Liaise with the Commercial Director for all HR and Pension requirements for weekly paid staff
• Create all relevant payments in the bank and passing for timely approval
• Accurate accounting of weekly payroll, including labour analysis
• Reconciliation of various accounts
• Manage expense and mileage returns
• Daily till and petty cash reconciliations. Posting appropriate journals
• Processing purchase ledger invoices
• Produce weekly management reports and aim to provide insight and commentary
• Prepare Pension reports, including starters and leavers, for weekly and monthly pension reporting
• Dealing with payroll enquiries
• Production of a range of reports for Site managers and other colleagues
• Provide cover for the accounts team
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers
• Liaise with the auditors

• An understanding of accounting techniques and definitions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, incorporating creative thinking
• Ability to analyse data, making judgements and decisions, to ensure accurate accounting treatment
