Sheridan Maine are supporting a rapidly growing organisation, based on the South Coast, in Hampshire, to recruit a technically strong Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) into this senior, strategically focused role. The job holder will be a member of the senior leadership team responsible for driving the organisation’s financial success across this key business area that specifically focuses on Private Equity Funds. This opportunity would suit someone who is seeking to relocate, maybe for lifestyle or cost of living reasons from London or maybe the Channel Isles......or a similarly financial orientated hub!
 
The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic business plans to enhance and performance whilst identifying new business opportunities to increase revenues. This will include extensive liaison across the organisation with support and business development teams to ensure that systems and contact networks are optimised. The role will focus on building external business relationships with clients including commercial negotiations around fee structures, proposals and pitches, attending client board meetings and customer satisfaction reviews. There is a high emphasise on Team Management and Development in this role where you will manage all aspects for a team of qualified accountants, with up to 5 direct reports, including recruitment, performance management, resource allocation and providing mentoring support.
 
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) and likely to have originally trained in practice. You will require significant Post Qualified Experience gained in the financial services sector ideally with a focus on fund administration/management, asset management, or a related sector. The proven ability to manage and develop teams, build senior client relationships and to demonstrate critical strategic planning are essential qualities required for this highly visible role.
 
The organisation has a strong track record of providing internal career progression, an exceptionally friendly culture and excellent office facilities. This role will benefit from hybrid working although ideally the company is seeking the AD to be onsite at the offices in South Hampshire for at least 3 days a week.
