Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a financial services firm based in Bournemouth to recruit a Group Finance Assistant. This position would suit an accountant who is AAT level 4 qualified at minimum. This is a temporary post, for 3-6 months initially, with potential to go permanent.
The company operate a hybrid working policy, with 3 days a week in the office, the rest worked from home.
Responsibilities of the Group Finance Assistant include:
Posting all transactions on all company bank statements and reconcile weekly
Provision of a detailed Aged Debtor report weekly
Prepare and reconcile the Monthly Direct Debt collections
Raise sales invoices on an ad hoc basis
Run nominal activity reports
Post monthly supplier invoices
Reconciliation of balance sheet
Prepare and post various journals
Reconcile Intercompany balances across group, both Nominal codes, Sales and Purchase ledger balances
Raising recharge invoices
Prepare analysis of cost codes when requested by Managers/Heads of department
Assist with the preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts
Prepare Quarterly VAT Returns. Submit online to HMRC once authorised by Group Finance Manager
Run various reports
Assist with collating information for Year End packs
To be considered for the role of Group Finance Assistant, the following attributes are required:
Experience in month end procedures
Sage experience (desirable but not essential)
Experience working with multiple companies (desirable)
