Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and rapidly growing battery energy business to recruit a Project Accountant.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join the most financially backed battery business in the world and gain some exposure in project accountancy within a fast-growing team.
 
The company operates a hybrid working policy so 4 days would be worked at their Kensington based office and 1 day worked from home.
 
Responsibilities of the Project Accountant include:

  • Preparation of monthly operational cost reports
  • Preparation of project cash forecasting
  • Liaising with stakeholders
  • Communicating with the operational team regarding billing related services
  • Processing project and cost re-allocations journals
  • Analysing project expenditures
  • Business partnering
  • Providing project profitability and budget reports
  • Ensuring project accounting policies are compliant
  • Reviewing, updating and improving the current processes and systems
  • Leading the project accounting element of an ERP implementation
  • Monthly and quarterly VAT and CIS return submissions
 
To be considered for the role of Project Accountant, the following skills and experience are required:
  • Experience in the energy or construction industry is preferred
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the enthusiasm and drive to work in a high growth environment
  • Keen problem solver who can focus on appropriate detail when solving problems and propose effective solutions
