Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with an established educational organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant. The position is hybrid working, with 2-3 days based at their Southwark based office the rest worked from home and would suit a part or fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:
Various month end duties including production of reports and invoices, reconciling accounts
Accounts Payable duties including payment runs, coding of invoices, statement reconciliations
Responsible for reconciling direct debit payments and balance sheet account
Assist in developing new internal financial procedures across AP and AR function
Assist with the Credit Control function
Answer invoicing queries and if necessary, initiate raising and issuing Credit Notes
Assist with general customer queries
Management of incoming payments through WorldPay/Bank Transfers and allocating onto finance system
Journal posting as required
Involvement in finance project work as required
To be considered for the role of Finance Assistant, the following skills are required:
Experience of working in a similar position
Experienced in working with ERP system
High numeracy problem-solving skills and initiative
