Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an exciting fast growth Media business who are looking to hire a Finance Manager to join a small, friendly, and dynamic London team.

As Finance Manager you will be responsible for budgeting & forecasting projects, HQ costs, and the delivery of high-quality management accounts.

The Finance Manager role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing and consolidating project and HQ budgets, cash flow forecasts, management accounts, and other reports as appropriate
  • Liaising and effectively communicating with staff in international offices to review monthly financial performance and plan for future periods
  • Leading on the maintenance and creation of existing and new complex financial models in Excel
  • Supporting the Head of Finance in the provision of technical support and advice on the development of accurate budgets for inclusion in project proposals, as well as contributing advice on other financial aspects of proposals or contracts
  • Supporting the Head of Finance in ensuring compliance with all relevant financial legislation in the UK and any relevant legislation in the relevant countries
  • Working effectively with, and mentoring, other members of the team in the UK, and staff based in international offices (including staff with financial and non-financial backgrounds) to improve their understanding of financial management and financial processes
  • Other duties as required
What you will need to be great for this role:
  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to develop awareness of commercial issues and expertise in relevant departments’ specific issues
  • Significant experience in the management of budgets of a large and complex nature
  • Ability to understand accounts and supervise a project’s budget effectively
  • Experience of standard business procedures around procurement and other financial controls
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of operating computer-based financial management systems (QuickBooks). Advanced level in Microsoft Excel
