Sheridan Maine are supporting our client in the recruitment of a professional Accounts and Office Manager to support the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  This is a high profile role requiring the highest professional standards and outstanding personal qualities.

The Accounts Manager is also the first point of contact for the finance department and communicates widely both internally and externally, providing an interface with various departments. So will require someone who has a working understanding of a Finance function, ideally having worked as a Public Practice Office Manager or similar.

We are looking for someone with a real can do attitude with strong administrative skills, someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable experience of working well with others and capable of assisting in the following key areas:

  • Assist the CFO in their management of the Group’s financial functions
  • Co-ordination of data, reports, accounts and other documents
  • Organisation of Group finance activities with Group Estate’s and businesses
  • Meeting preparation, taking minutes, general administration
 This is an essential part of the Group’s journey towards realising its ambitions and understanding the Group is a fundamental requisite for effective partnering.

Your new role will require you:
  • To understand the Group’s differing businesses, their activities, ownership, strategies, targets and finances
  • Assist the CFO in their management of the Group’s financial functions and other Group responsibilities
  • Organise the flow of information to, from and through the CFO’s office
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and other documents for Board meetings and other Group meetings
  • To work with members across the Group with regards to our financial operations.
Key regular tasks include:
  • Proactive management of the CFO’s office
  • Coordination of information flows
  • Liaising with internal and external clients and teams
  • General administrative tasks
  • Data administration
  • Preparation of financial and non-financial schedules and reports
  • Regular communication with the Business and Finance teams
  • Working with Group Finance and business teams to ensure accurate data, providing analysis and reports
The central finance team is based in a stunning location on the Dorset/Hampshire border. You will be working across areas of the Group which will require occasional travel to other offices.  Remote working is on offer, although a regular presence in the office would be ideal, particularly during the initial few months as you assist with integration and  familiarisation.
