Sheridan Maine is partnering with a global professional services organisation to recruit a Financial Operations Analyst. Ideally, the successful candidate will be AAT qualified or equivalent and have experience of working in a similar role. This is a good opportunity to gain some exposure of working in a fast-paced environment and for a company that supports career growth.
Responsibilities of the Financial Operations Analyst will include:
Regularly liaise with leadership team to communicate key client health financial metrics and work to improve metrics
Validate large sets of data to ensure alignment of financial metrics in line with in-depth understanding of client and supplier specific contracts
Be an expert advisor on operational and financial best practices
Prepare and review a range of reports
Prepare and review a range of invoices
Review, update and improve the current processes and controls
Actively work to reduce AR balances by maintaining and creating relationships with client AP/ Financial teams, as well as improve company’s working capital position. Provide regular stakeholder communication on these metrics
Work in conjunction with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency across the company
Manage assigned processes to ensure client SLAs and internal department SLAs/ deadlines are consistently met
Support the rest of the team as and when required
Participate in technical or procedural troubleshooting efforts as needed
To be considered for the role of Financial Operations Analyst, the following attributes are required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field of study is preferred
Experience working in a similar role, ideally with exposure to third party invoicing/billing in EMEA and APAC regions and global tax transactions (i.e. VAT, GST, etc.)
Effective business partnership skills, with ability to interact professionally with external/ internal partners
