Sheridan Maine is supporting a rapidly growing organisation, based on the M27 corridor between Southampton and Portsmouth, to recruit a specialist financial accounting opportunity dealing with a variety of accounting and reporting requirements for a portfolio of private equity investment funds.
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager the job responsibilities will include bookkeeping and accounting for a range of complex funds and liaising with clients as required. This will include higher level reconciliations of accounting transactions, and assisting to prepare quarterly reports and statutory statements. You will also deal with the completion of routine investor queries and prepare payments for expenses, investment transactions and ad hoc calculations as requested by clients. There will be a variety of tasks as well as the opportunity to see the results of your endeavours and to develop longer term client relationships.
The successful candidate is likely to be part qualified (ACA, ACCA), within a smaller or mid-tier practice firm seeking a move into industry. Experience of preparing accounts for clients, rather than purely audit exposure, would be preferable for this position. Strong IT skills, specifically in Excel, would be beneficial.
