Sheridan Maine are working in partnership with a leading services orientated business, that sells both B2B and B2C solutions to their market, to recruit an experienced M&A professional on an interim basis. The role is likely to be needed for a 3-6 month period whilst the business reorganises the M&A function to gear up for a period of growth. The organisation is based in Hampshire but the role can be 80-90% remote worked.
Key aspects of the role will include business modelling and valuations, investment appraisals, due dilligence exercises on potential target clients to include analysis of financial and tax liabilities, and producing a variety of pre and post acquistion reports. There will be a key focus on analysing the valuations for target acquisitions to ensure that they represent value for money and to assist with setting up reporting requirements after closing the deal.
The successful candidate will require substantial experience of the financial side of corporate finance to include a strong understanding of financial statements, balance sheets and forecasting. These skills will hopefully be underpinned by professional qualifications as an accountant or analyst such as (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA). The ability to create and manage detailed financial models and to support the Board with clear appraisal reports is key as is the ability to communicate clearly at all levels internally and externally.
This is an exciting time to join the business as it prepares to enter a period of increased M&A activity.
