Sheridan Maine are partnering with a key client, based in South Hampshire, to recruit a newly created position of Finance Manager with a specific focus on customer premiums and credit management. This role could be worked on a remote basis, almost 100%, with only occasional travel to the office.
This is a newly created role which will play a pivotal part in setting up a new business area for this established and highly successful financial services organisation. Initially the job will more project orientated to assist in setting up systems, processes and procedures and then will continue to manage the area on a business as usual basis once the function is established. The core focus will be to ensure the organisation has oversight of the performance, and management of their premium finance products. This will include regularly reviewing credit performance, reviewing adherence to credit rules in accordance with CONC and ensuring that the company is providing fair value to customers. There will be extensive liaision with other business functions, especially compliance, commercial and pricing, the latter with a specific focus on credit risk and affordability for direct retail customers.
The successful candidate is likely to be a Qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Managers (MICM) with relevant experience gained working for a Premium Finance House or Lending company. You will need to be highly proficient in understanding credit regulations and possess a detailed knowledge of UK regulations in adherence with the requirements of the FCA /PRA principles. Cross functional exposure across audit, compliance and risk would be high beneficial as would the ability to work with the more commercial functions of an organisation.
