Sheridan Maine are working exclusively with a rapidly growing organisation based in Hampshire, who are seeking a Project / Contract Manager for a newly created role reporting into the Managing Director. This unique role will be working closely with key stakeholders to ensure developments/builds are completed on time and within the budget as well as maintaining their existing property portfolio.
The key remit for this fantastic new opportunity will be to project manage the refurbishment and fit out of a range of new property developments and oversee the maintenance and improvements to the existing property portfolio. 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and manage the project plan for all new property refurbishments ensuring that these are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage the supply chain and purchasing of major project components sourcing new suppliers where necessary
  • Prepare detailed and technical tender packages
  • Preparation of the annual planned maintenance programme for each site
  • Health and Safety and Disaster Recovery policies
Skills Required:
  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of the construction industry, including the ability to read architectural drawings and understand the construction process
  • The ability to construct accurate and realistic construction programmes
  • The ability to fit in well, work as a true team player with initiative and enthusiasm
  • Good communication skills and good working attitude with design and site management
  • You will be well organised and capable of meeting deadlines
  • Strong maths and IT skills are essential and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and Outlook is required
Previous Experience: 
  • Extensive experience in procurement, especially capital project procurement, supply chain or similar
  • Previous project management experience is essential
  • You should understand all aspects of the contracting process and contract law
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of the latest Health & Safety legislation and Building Regulations
