Financial Controller – Bristol
About my Client
I’m currently working with a global manufacturing business who are experts in their field and supply to a wide range of industries. They're products are manufactured at their brand-new facility in Bristol, and whilst they operate as an SME within the UK, they are part of a much larger group with 40+ worldwide locations.
The Role
This role will be a hands-on Financial Controller position where you will be responsible for providing financial direction to the UK group of companies, as well as partnering with other companies within the global group. You will manage a small team and lead from the front by supporting the day-to-day accounting activities. My client is looking for an experienced Financial Controller who is hands on, and confident communicating and building strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
· Overall responsibility for the UK accounting and payroll function and all UK group reporting
· Ensure compliance with UK statutory financial requirements, as well as compliance for import and export duties
· Provide financial analysis on all activities and business drivers
· Weekly and monthly group reporting requirements
· Ensure group finance systems are robust and support future growth activities
· Work with the treasury department to manage foreign exchange risk
· Review customer contracts and agreements
Ideal Candidate
· CIMA, ACCA, ACA Qualified
· Experienced Financial Controller (3+ years in a similar role)
· Experience working in the manufacturing sector
· SME background preferred
· SAP experience preferred
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including non-finance colleagues
