Sheridan Maine are working exclusively with the UK division of an international manufacturing organisation, based in the Southampton area, to recruit a Part Qualified Financial Analyst for a key newly created position. 

Working as part of an established finance team, and reporting to the Head of FP&A, the job holder will be responsible for producing management accounts, analysis and the reporting of key metrics for the manufacturing and R&D functions over the UK business across 2 separate sites. There will be a key focus on costing including estimating, variance analysis and investment analysis for new products. Another key area will be overviewing inventory accounting including monitoring stock levels and performing detailed analysis. You will also be encouraged to develop a business partnering ethos with key stakeholders across the 2 operating sites with a view to positively challenge and support their business areas.

The ideal candidate will be Part Qualified and seeking to complete their qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). The company will support candidates who are studying for their qualifications. Previous exposure to cost accounting within a manufacturing organisation is essential to hit the ground running in this position - candidates who have this experience and who are not, or are no longer, studying are also encouraged to apply. Experience of inventory accounting would also be beneficial as would strong IT skills specifically with Excel, although other BI/MI Tools experience would be beneficial.
This role will be mainly based onsite and will include some travel to another UK site.
