A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a specialist SME organisation in Basingstoke. This established business operate on a national scale and are keen to find someone who will fit into their relaxed and friendly working culture.
As a Financial Controller, the main responsibilities will be overseeing the end to end finance function in every aspect, including the preparation of management accounts, supervision of the ledgers, payroll, budgeting and forecasting as well as balance sheet reconciliations, P&L preparation and cashflow analysis. The role will also be the main point of contact for the internal audit process and the submittal of TAX and VAT reporting to HMRC. The position will be a member in the Senior Leadership Team and provide the opportunity to have an impact on the business and any strategic decisions.
Because of the nature of this role the successful individual will be required to hit the ground running with a small team of direct reports. As manager you will have a considered approach but also be able to build strong rapport with colleagues.
The successful candidate will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant however qualified by experience individuals will also be considered. Prior experience of working within manufacturing along with an understanding of the import/ export of products would be desirable as well as some knowledge of Sage.
