We are working in partnership with a successful business based in Wimborne to recruit for a confident, driven and analytical Assistant Accountant to join their team.
To be considered you will have experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of general ledger transactions, overhead expenditure, accruals and prepayments.
This is a key role within the team so you will need the confidence to challenge and suggest new ideas, as well as the ability to manage and prioritise your workload in order to meet deadlines whilst paying a key role in supporting the team to meet overall objectives.
Key duties will include:
• Journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Reporting on overheads and providing insightful analysis
• Month end processes
• Accruals and prepayments
• Management of the fixed asset register
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Maintaining and simplifying the general ledger
• Analysis and support of audit requests
The successful candidate will be Part Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT Level 4)
Analytical with a high attention to detail with process improvement and simplification experience
Driven to deliver accurate and insightful information

This role will be WFH, with weekly visits to the office in Wimborne.
