Sheridan Maine are exclusively working with a leading retail business based in North Hampshire who are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their existing accounts department.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the role will be responsible for the day to day running of the finance team. Key duties will include;
- Weekly financial reporting
- Oversee the purchase and sales ledger functions
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT and Intrastat returns
- Aged debt reporting
- Staff expenses
- Financial analysis
- Manage the team providing support and mentoring for junior members of staff
This diverse and hands on position requires an individual who has prior all round accounting experience as well as supervising staff. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a wide range of duties is essential. The ideal person will have strong IT skills to be able to analyse data and assist with the improvement of systems and processes. Prior knowledge of SAGE is desirable.
