An award-winning Hospitality business have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller who will join them on a temporary assignment.  The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of 4, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.  The contract is offered initially for 3 months, with likelihood for extension.
 
The position will suit a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant experience in a FC role and proven experience of leading and managing a team.
 
Responsibilities of the Financial Controller include but not limited to:

• Assist in the preparation of the 2022 Statutory Accounts
• Support with the annual statutory audit preparation
• Preparation of the monthly reporting for review
• Review, update and improve the monthly balance sheet reconciliations process
• Manage the tidy up of the Purchase ledgers, support the AP team in resolving supplier account queries and seek to improve AP processes
• Assist with a SAGE 200 reporting project
• Assist with the preparation of the group weekly reporting

• Experience working in a multi-site business, ideally F&B or retail
• Strong technical knowledge of UK & US GAAP and FRS
• Continuous process improvement expertise and mindset
• Questioning mind and willingness to challenge others constructively in a non-confrontational manner
