My client is a rapidly growing British retailer that is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant into their team. This temporary position has potential to go permanent and will be hybrid working so would be a mix of working from home and working at the firm’s head office based in Bath. 
 
This role would ideally suit someone with an interest in undertaking a career in finance, AAT qualified or studying towards qualifications.
 
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include:

  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Processing supplier payment runs
  • Processing sales invoices and maintaining the aged debtors ledger
  • Coding and uploading on Finance system
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Providing support to wider Finance team where necessary
  • Actively seeking ways to improve processes
 
Competencies required for the Finance Assistant:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • SAGE 50 experience is desirable
  • Solid Excel Skills (Pivots/Filters/VLookups)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
